Youth United 2007-2008
HOME COMPLETED & DEDICATED JUNE 1, 2008!!!
Youth United is a project in which local young people (ages 5–25) sponsor and build a house in partnership with a family that is in critical need of a safe, decent, affordable place to live. We will work together to :
- Build a HOME!!
- Increase public awareness about people living without adequate shelter!
- Raise $50,000 for construction costs!
- And show the community how we can all help!
Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod is pleased to invite all young people, their parents and youth group leaders, to get involved in the 2007 Youth United build for Brewster this fall. Youth United is a program that empowers local youth (ages 5-25) to work together to sponsor and build a Habitat for Humanity house in their own community. Young volunteers are needed to perform a great variety of tasks from construction to fundraising to public relations. The Youth United program offers an excellent opportunity for young people to make a difference in their community, and demonstrate what they can do to help address the critical community need for affordable housing.
Volunteer on your own OR as part of a club, school, church or synagogue group!
